The auction will feature more than 250 beautifully crafted figures from the Cannon Hill Puppet Theatre which was based at mac from the 1960's through to the 1990's when it closed.This mac event is being made possible by close co-operation with PuppeteersUK and with the full support of John Blundall who created the figures whilst working for the Puppet Company at the Arts Centre. mac has already gifted Mr Blundall a selection of figures for his collection at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow.
mac intends to make a donation to PuppeteersUK in recognition of their support in making this event possible.
Admission to the auction is by ticket only. Tickets are available from mac box office priced £5.00 (including a catalogue on the day). We strongly advise all potential bidders to book in advance.
Registration and viewing will be from 9.00 am, with the auction commencing at 11.00 am and finishing at 2.00 pm. The auction will take place in the Cinema, with viewing in the Dance Studio.
